The 2023 Lexus RX is new from the ground up and it includes a number of new features and technologies, many of which have never been offered on any Lexus model before.
The Four New Powertrains
The 2023 Lexus RX will arrive later in the year with a completely new engine lineup. In the place of the former V6 engine, the RX 350 will be powered by a new 2.4L turbocharged engine that delivers 274 horsepower and improved fuel efficiency. In order to burn even less fuel, the new RX 350h will adopt a hybrid system based on a 2.5L four-cylinder. This powertrain will have an output of 246 horsepower. Another first is the addition of the RX 500h F SPORT Performance to the lineup. In addition to cosmetic changes, this model will bring another new powertrain to the lineup: the turbocharged 2.4L hybrid. This powertrain will be able to deliver 367 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, making the RX 500h F SPORT Performance the most powerful RX ever. For even more efficiency, the RX will welcome its first plug-in hybrid powertrain in 2023, with the RX 450h+.
A new infotainment system
The 2023 Lexus RX will come standard with the Lexus Interface infotainment system that was recently launched in the 2022 NX. This advanced multimedia platform can be controlled by hands-free voice commands that are activated by saying “Hey Lexus” or by using the available 14-inch touchscreen. This system is also equipped for over-the-air updates and a multitude of connected services accessible on a mobile phone.
The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0
The 2023 Lexus RX also improves its active safety by adopting the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which is a suite of features that include the pre-collision system with pedestrian and motorcycle detection, the dynamic cruise control that now features Curve Speed Management, and the available Advanced Park, which now supports forward-facing parking maneuvers.
