October 16 2024,
Lexus introduces its first hybrid flagship SUV, the 2025 LX 700h, set to hit Canadian roads in early 2025. The new model boasts a powerful 3.4L twin-turbo hybrid V6 engine, delivering 457 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft of torque.
The LX 700h marks a significant milestone in Lexus' electrification strategy, becoming the 11th electrified option available to Canadian customers. This new hybrid powertrain combines a twin-turbocharged 3.4-litre V6 engine with an electric motor, paired with a 10-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission.
Enhanced Off-Road Capabilities
Alongside the hybrid powertrain, Lexus unveils the new Overtrail + grade, exclusively available for the LX 700h. This grade enhances the vehicle's off-road prowess with features such as front and rear locking differentials, all-terrain tires, and skid plates.
The Overtrail + grade stems from Lexus' "Overtrail Project," an initiative aimed at inspiring outdoor adventures. It offers unique design elements, including a matte grey grille, black door handles, and dark grey roof rails.
Advanced Technology and Safety Features
All 2025 LX models now come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist. The LX 700h also introduces Advanced Park and Traffic Jam Assist features.
Inside, the LX 700h offers a 12.3-inch touchscreen interface with cloud navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Luxury amenities include massage seats and various seating configurations for optimal comfort.
Impressive Towing Capacity
Both the LX 600 and LX 700h models maintain a towing capacity of up to 8,000 pounds, ensuring the vehicle's utility matches its luxury.
The 2025 Lexus LX 700h will be manufactured at the Toyota Auto Body Yoshiwara Plant. While pricing details are yet to be announced, the vehicle is expected to arrive at Lexus dealerships across Canada in early 2025.
